Jalapeño Poppers

Ingredients

  • 1 8-oz block cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp. onion powder
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. freshly cracked
  • black pepper
  • 10 jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise
  • ¼ cup crumbled bacon, cooked
  • 2 tbsp. scallions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, cheddar cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Use a spoon to scoop the seeds and ribs out of the jalapeños.
  4. Fill each jalapeño halfway with the cheese mixture.
  5. Arrange the jalapeños on a baking sheet and bake for 18–22 minutes.
  6. Top with bacon and scallions.
